Hello, I am Michael Ames the pastor at Victory Church in Humboldt County. I have been married to my beautiful bride Jennifer for 25 years and we have three children and have had numerous foster children over the years as well. We have not always been in ministry, I have been a general manager in numerous places helping organizations become stable and profitable. God called me in ministry later in life as I surrendered to His call. I also teacher religion and Jennifer teaching differing subjects in schools and the local college. 

Both Jennifer and I have Masters from Liberty University, mine in Divinity and hers in Education.  Its an honor to pastor here at Victory, it is a very very welcoming and loving faith family that is growing in size all the time as well as in spiritual depth. We are a hungry body for the Bread of Life and love to serve one another and our community. We also love doing things outdoors, being with our kids and grandkids, and traveling. 

Probably the greatest thing that I am constantly part of is seeing people trust in Jesus and watch their lives transform in the power of God. It is an honor to teach and preach the most meaningful truths found only in Scriptures. Our church is truly a faith family always growing and loving others as God leads us.
